A TRIBUTE IN PICTURES

Always beautiful, even when having fun.

Raising a good family in the Lord's church was her number one goal.

Always a good sport - especially to please her family.

Always supportive of every member of her family of over 110 in all their activities.

Even her children, who knew her best, thought she was always "Mother of the Year".

Gave beautiful homemade gifts to all of  her family & friends.  For the past several years she has made more than 75 angels at Christmas to accompany her gifts.

She loved DUP (Daughters of the Utah Pioneers) and what it stood for, extended family.
She was very adventursome.  She climbed Tablerock near the Tetons in her 70's.
Her hands were always busy.
She was a devoted servant of the Lord all her life, including serving a mission with her husband.

She loved her sweetheart.
She was adored by her family.

COMMENT FROM MIKE KIRKHAM

Mike Kirkham has left a new comment on your post "DORIS KIRKHAM JOHNSON":

Aunt Doris's memorial service was a grand celebration of her wonder life. And oh, what a wonderful life she lived.

She will truly be missed, but we bid her farewell with tears of joy as we send her off to meet so many loved ones who have gone before.

We love you Aunt Doris. Give Uncle Maurice and the rest of those we love and miss a huge hug for us.

Mike Kirkham, Son of Donald R Kirkham, last living child of Lott and Sarah.

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM CAROLYN J. CHRISTENSEN

My mother has had a cold for a few days.  She came to Salt Lake with Phyllis on Tuesday.  On Wednesday, Von and I took lunch to Mom and Phyllis.  Mom was somewhat unresponsive so we called the ambulance and took her to the hospital.  The diagnosis was pneumonia and sepsis in her blood stream.  During that night they stabilized the pain and the next morning Phyllis, Damian and Misty took her to Idaho to her own apartment at her nieces house, (Jerda),  Last night, at 1:00 am, March 4, 2011, Doris Kirkham Johnson, a great woman,  passed away.

ANCESTOR CARDS

Posted by Carolyn J. Christensen
Some years ago, a friend gave me an idea they used in their family to help teach the younger generations about ancesters.  The results were ancestry cards that I prepared.  I will be posting these cards on this site for any who wants to copy and use them.  Below is a pedigree to show what cards I will be posting over time, and suggestions of how they can be used.
